i'm honestly really sad to see ratpaw go. she was probably one of my favorite fallenclan cats.... /j

anyway, here are some silly ideas about how ratpaw would have fit into fallenclan!

he was never actually a fallenclan cat. credit to beetle for this hysterical idea. this random loner named rat goes to his cricketclan job application and goes, "oh yeah, i definitely have warrior experience. references? oh, sure. have you heard of ligma? no? he's a real fallenclan cat, i promise..."

potential parent ideas

frogpounce---he showed up one day with a kit (outsider roots) and everyone was like, "yeah okay." after frogpounce died, ratpaw no longer felt like she had a place in fallenclan and left.

thistleskip & boulderstep---this is another of beetle's ideas. i like the symbolism of ratpaw leaving his birth clan behind, just like boulderstep did as an apprentice, however i feel like thistle and boulder would both be Devastated and i don't want them to be sad...

hazelthorn---yeah.

gizmo---don't really have much explanation for this. maybe gizmo had a kittypet mate and brought their child to the clan, but then ratpaw got sleepydawn as a mentor or something and went "this sucks" and decided to bail.

vox---shrikethorn sibling!! obviously the timeline would be a bit weird but that's a given with every clangen account progressing at different times. shrikethorn and ratpaw being littermates...

eris, cedarberry, & skyfrost---again with the weird timeline thing, but still. paledawn and darkstone having a third littermate hehe.

my personal favorite though is the idea of ratpaw just lying about having been in fallenclan (bonus if he's able to gaslight fallenclan cats at a gathering by being like "what?? you seriously don't remember me? ugh. this is why i left!"

I don’t think we’ve ever seen you draw knight of dawn before 🤔 what are your thoughts about him? Or take?

I've drawn him a couple of times, just really little/in the background. but I should draw him more, I love this guy a lot! I have many, many thoughts about him and the way he parallels Silver...and also I think it is extremely funny that his ghost is stuck in a ring. especially considering where that ring has been for the last 16-ish years.

Clowngender elf with poor coping skills.#I hope the anime-only watchers know that this is a character to keep an eye on.#Love (in it's many forms) and desire (in it's many forms) is the main course of Dungeon Meshi and THIS silly jester?#My goodness. What a perfect encapsulation of how one can hurt other's so deeply in the name of love.#The actions we take to 'protect' other's is often the route to doing the most harm.#Love is letting go. Another year has passed, and with it the opportunity to reflect back on all that has happened. While my growth was not as dramatic as last year, I can still see lots of positive change.

I'll never have enough ways to say thank you for all the love and support you have given me this year. On to 2025!

#poorly drawn mdzs #art summary #Since last year's independent variable was PD-WWX; this year I used Lan Wangji.#Unfortunately his appearances were not very evenly distributed this year! Lots of LWJ's early in the year #then a dead period in the middle. He is forever my silly rabbit. I love drawing him!#If I have to put a label on this year; I'd describe it as 'experimental'. I pushed myself to do llots of new things!#I drew lots for dungeon meshi and that really boosted my growth. More body types -clothing details - expressions!#Ryoko Kui is a great artist to learn from and It made me realize that I had a lot to gain from doing more studies.#I also started working on a whole new genre of art! While it has taken a backburner spot - I'm working on a game now!#Digital art was my enemy last year but I have been getting a feel for it now.#Goals for this year is to 1) keep working on my personal projects 2) finish PD-MDZS! and 3) practice animation!#I didn't (couldn't) draw as much as I did last year...but I had to take a lesson in humility and taking care of myself.#Drawing is something I do 'for fun' but there were many times it became more stressful than it should.#I'm still learning how to find and maintain balance with everything life throws at me.#We are all works of progress and I am trying very hard to love the process and the journey! I don't really know my destination!#But I will keep taking steps forwards. I never want to be stuck and lost as I once was.#If 2024 was a rough year for you too; We're in this together. Let's keep taking steps together. No matter how small.#Love you all so very much. You've given me strength on the darkest days. Thank you thank you thank you.
